Our Story & Mission
Building a trusted crowdfunding platform — where faith meets technology.
The Birahma Story
Birahma was born from lived experience.
We witnessed firsthand the challenges Muslims faced when trying to raise funds for worthy causes — from masjid restorations and community projects to urgent medical emergencies and hardship support. Too often, traditional fundraising platforms lacked the faith-based structure, oversight, and transparency that Islamic giving requires.
Inspired by the timeless Islamic principle of Sadaqah Jariyah — continuous charity that benefits both giver and recipient long after the initial act — we set out to build something different.
Birahma is proud to be the first Islamic Shariah-compliant online donation and fundraising platform, founded on a simple yet powerful vision: to create a trusted space where anyone, anywhere, can raise and give in alignment with their faith.
We believe charitable giving is more than generosity — it is an act of worship. It deserves integrity, clarity, and accountability.
That is why Birahma combines authentic Shariah principles with modern technology to deliver a platform that is transparent, secure, and purpose-built for Islamic fundraising. From Zakat and Sadaqah to Sadaqah Jariyah and community initiatives, we provide the tools and support needed to transform sincere intention into meaningful impact.
With bank-level security, structured Shariah compliance, and a deep commitment to ethical financial practices, Birahma empowers individuals, organisations, and communities to fundraise responsibly and confidently.
We are building more than a platform. We are building a global community of changemakers — united by faith, driven by compassion, and connected through technology.
Birahma is where faith meets innovation, and where giving becomes legacy.

Islamic Giving Explained
Understanding the different forms of Islamic giving helps you choose the right way to contribute.
صدقة
Sadaqah
Voluntary Charity
Sadaqah is any act of voluntary charity given freely for the sake of Allah. It can be money, time, a smile, or any kind deed. There is no minimum amount and it can be given at any time to any worthy cause.
زكاة
Zakat
Obligatory Almsgiving
Zakat is one of the Five Pillars of Islam — an obligatory annual payment of 2.5% of qualifying wealth. It purifies your wealth and must be distributed to specific categories of recipients as defined by Shariah.
صدقة جارية
Sadaqah Jariyah
Continuous Charity
Sadaqah Jariyah is ongoing charity whose rewards continue even after death. Examples include funding a well, building a school, or supporting educational resources — the reward flows as long as people benefit.
